ABOUT ME

I write and research erotica because pleasure is one of my core values. I believe everyone, no matter their sexuality, gender, disability, or body shape, deserves good sex, great books, and the joy of human connection. That’s why I started my essay series, Consentacles, to help writers and readers create an ethical framework for depicting sex and pleasure in books. And it’s also why I write smut myself—to scratch the itch for stories about people like me.

I have a Master’s Degree in Creative Writing, where I wrote my thesis on genre expectations in workplace romances and what it tells us about women’s relationships to work. It was during the arduous task of getting a graduate degree and working full-time that I discovered my love for monster romances as the ultimate cozy escape from the real world.
